Steps to Obtain your Motorcycle Endorsement on your Florida Driver License, you must
- Hold at minimum a valid operator’s Class E Driver License.
- Successfully complete the 2-day BRCu motorcycle safety course with FLMTS, an authorized Sponsor of the FRTP. No other testing is required.
- Within 1 year of successfully completing the BRCu*, you must go to a FLHSMV office that issues Driver Licenses, show the required identification, pay the required new Driver License issue fee and Motorcycle Endorsement fee, and obtain your new Driver License with the Motorcycle Endorsement or a Motorcycle-Only License. The Course Completion Card is not a valid Driver License Motorcycle Endorsement, it does not allow you to legally ride on public roadways.
Note: If you do not follow Step 3 within the 1 year grace period, then your Course Completion Card which had entitled you to the “Motorcycle Endorsement” status on your Driver License record, will be rendered “Invalid” and you will be required to re-take and successfully complete the 2-day BRCu.
